Marketing Director Unpaid Volunteer

Overview

We seek a motivated individual to serve as our unpaid volunteer Marketing Director. While this position is open to all qualified candidates, we particularly encourage applications from college students at the undergraduate or postgraduate level in Marketing, Communications, or related fields. This key role involves developing and implementing our organization's marketing strategies across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media and digital marketing strategies, excellent communication skills, and experience in content creation. Key responsibilities include managing social media campaigns, developing comprehensive marketing plans, creating engaging content, implementing digital marketing strategies, and analyzing marketing metrics. This remote position offers flexible hours (4-20 hours/week) and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, leadership, and project management, while making a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Social Media Management
    • Create and manage social media campaigns across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
    • Develop a content calendar and schedule posts
    • Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages
  2. Marketing Strategy Development
    • Create and implement comprehensive marketing plans
    • Identify target audiences and develop strategies to reach them
    • Analyze marketing trends and adjust strategies accordingly
  3. Content Creation
    • Write compelling marketing and sales copy for various channels
    • Develop blog posts, newsletters, and other content to engage supporters
    • Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing marketing materials
  4. Online Marketing and Influencer Management
    • Implement digital marketing strategies, including email marketing and SEO
    • Identify and cultivate relationships with influencers in our field
    • Manage influencer partnerships and collaborations
  5. Analytics and Reporting
    • Track and analyze marketing metrics across all channels
    • Prepare regular reports on campaign performance and ROI
    • Use data insights to refine marketing strategies
  6. Project Management
    • Manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously
    • Set and meet deadlines for marketing deliverables
    • Coordinate with other departments to align marketing efforts with organizational goals

Work Commitment
